Pinhook Bourbon Country Cask Strength

Pinhook releases two expressions per year, a bourbon and a rye. The expressions are always unique and each release is named in honor of a young thoroughbred horse who shows promise on the race track.

This year’s bourbon is a high-rye bourbon, with 75% corn, 20.5% rye, and 4.5% malted barley in the mash bill. It is the first Pinhook expression to be released at cask strength. We found orange zest and coconut cream on the nose, and cinnamon-dusted candied nuts on the palate, with a nice warming finish.
