Excellent...being a newb and all, are there any local NRA sponsored events and such for AR enthusiasts? I joined the NRA but haven't gotten any info from them yet, usually go down to the farm to plink and blow stuff up.

Not to my knowledge anyway... There isn't shat around here for, quite frankly, anything... it's quite sad. There is some group, "88 Tactical" I think that does carbine classes, but otherwise I'm not sure of anyone else. Once things tide over with our fuzzed up situation, and I can get ammo again, I'm going to try to take one of their classes.

Hey this is great!  I just moved to Nebraska a couple on months ago.  I'm between Lincoln and Omaha.  I have been looking for a good place to shoot out to longer ranges (100 to 300 yards).  I glad to see a place for us to talk a little.

I'm 30mins west of Omaha, by Wahoo, you anywhere near there?

Not a ton of places to shoot out here that far except for private land.

Welcome!

Welcome!

Im in Nebraska City.  Im in and out all this year, but I will soon become a permanet resident.  I have already purchased a home, but I am fullfuling a agreement with my current employer training my replacment and seeing them through one more processing year.  Soon I will be there for good.  I got a line on a place that is open but not a "range" but a place where locals go to shoot.  I think I may try to find it the next time I am in town.

The place is turning into a hell hole for gun owners, and any one with any clear thinking.    I think It's like watching a home you loved and lived in as a kid burn to the ground.  I just might be pulling out just in time before the implosion.  Its such a great state (geographically speaking) and seeing the demise coming because of so many failed liberal practices is very hard to watch.  I am a little bitter because I feel like I have been robbed.   Very sad a troubling times in California.

Trust me everyone who reads this post!!  I saw California go from what Nebraska is now to what California is now in just 30 years.  Never say to yourself that will never happen here.  It can and it will unless we all stay involved and active.  It has been said "Just ignore your rights, they'll go away" it is so true.

Hey Frank, congrats on getting out of what's left of CA. and welcome to the Good Life.  The weather stinks sometimes, well ok, a lot in the Winter, but it's a good quality of life.  Glad to see you on here. :beerchug:
