Since this is a 10MM forum, I was hoping their might be some 41 magnum people here. Has anyone tried putting AA#9 powder in a 41 mag like we do the 10? In a strong single action could you kinda load it like we do the 10 with AA#9? I would like to maybe get the 210XTP to 1500fps. I know it does not have to be pushed that fast to kill deer, but why not?

K10, after I thought about your request I decided to investigate my data for AA#9 in the 41 Remington Magnum.
Accurate Arms actually shows this loading in their handloading PDF edition 3.1 (if you want a copy of this PDF PM me.

Edition 3.1
41mag using No.9 210 HDY XTP 16.2grains @ 1,338 fps
41mag using No.9 210 HDY XTP 18.0grains @ 1,521 fps 40,000 psi 1.570"

Edition 5.0 shows reduced charges
210 HDY XTP 15.2 grains @ 1,271 fps
210 HDY XTP 16.9 grains @ 1,445 fps 35,200 psi 1.570"

AA#9 has undergone some changes since then, it used to be a very fine microbead powder but newer batches have been shown as a flatten ball powder...
