My daughter finally shot her new bow tonight. She really likes it. After a little tuning on the sights she is shooting the Glendel buck and my Delta turkey at 20 yards. She wont score a perfect shot every time but with enough consistancy that she is not having to fetch but maybe one out of 10 arrows. I did lengthen the draw an inch tonight so that might help her tomorrow. It was just a td short. I always enjoy getting a new person into the sport but when it is my daughter it is even better as it does double duty as quality bonding time.

Diamond Infanite Edge. Adjustable from 5 to 70 lbs and full length draw adjustment. To tell you the truth, it is a pretty damn sweet bow for a youth range. I dont like the sight but if you swapped out a better sight there is no reason an adult could not start off with this bow and within one season be deer or elk hunting in the fall.

I'll get some today, she shot last night all they way up till it was to dark to find arrows if she missed. She was mad I made her quit. I just found a 30 target fun shoot next weekend I think I am going to talk her into going to.

Sounds great Red.  I'm glad she's liking that bow.  I know my daughter likes hers a lot.

When I started my son in archery there was a video range at one of the shops. I will admit it was a lot of fun. You replace the field point with these mushroom looking tips and shot a large video screen. He had a ball shooting at African big game, we still laugh at him taking to long to shoot and a elephant turned had he shot it in the butt. Both of us had tears from laughing so hard, he was 10 at the time.

We have one of those around here, I used to go and shoot weekly tournies on it. Very cool system. If I ever win the lottery I will have one in my basement.

When my son-in-law was either assistant principal or principal at one of the local grade schools, he was able to get the board to sign off on an Archery Club.

He got all of the equipment donated, and he and a couple of other bow hunting teachers coached the club. It was ans is a great program. (He has moved on)

If anyone wants me to find out where he got the money, I will find out. I think one of his grants was from someone like the Nation Turkey Foundation (something like that).

Not the first people that come to mind when thinking about those willing to donate to promote an Archery Club.

At ours, we would go when no one was using the system and he could get closer to the screen. You really need to take her, she will love it also. Just choose shots that are not so tough that 3 seconds is max time. Plus where else can you shoot a elephant in the butt, lol.
I would love to own one of those systems.
