Yeah, but being a GM product the suspension will fall apart shortly.

In your dreams! You must have it confused with a Ford.
My 2500HD had 3/4 of a ton in the back all the time, and it pounded down every dirt road in 7 counties for 300,000mi. The only thing I replaced under it was a pair of outer tie-rod ends.
