Now that's the type of AR I like... A side charger in an obscure caliber.    :bye:

Good to see you finally got everything together.

Hopefully the upper build went smoothly.

For those of you that don't know, this is the TAC 30 wildcat.

K4cODIN.jpg

TAC 30, it is a variant of Marty Ter Weeme's 30 Herrett Rimless Tactical (30 HRT) cartridge.

Look forward to a range report.

Thanks,

Glenn

6.8 SPC II, That's .270 Lite for those of us in the real world.

M1A Socom 16; Its bark blows minds, its bite is even worst!

30 Herrett AR; I know, 7.62X39 is cheaper... But I already had the 6.8 SPC brass and bolts.

What bolt does the TAC30 use? 6.8SPC?

Nevermind. Mah brains are scrambled. I was thinking LEFT side charge bolt. I've never seen a LEFT eject bolt for 6.8 from Bear Creek.

Yes Sir.

It is a 6.8 SPC based wildcat.

Left handed Stag .224 Valkyrie/6.8 SPC should work.

Priced at $80.00.

I picked up a few of those plus spare parts.

Been shooting them in my BHW 6.8 SPC and ARP TAC 30 AR's. They have been working great.

Reminds me to switch out the bolt on my 6.8 ARP AR...  :hmm:

Have you started putting together cartridges yet?

Thanks,

Glenn

Thanks!

CFE BLK is one of the powders that has found some favor with this wildcat.

I have some, and need to work up some loads.

Been using the Shooters World Blackout powder at this time. There seems to be a couple of different lots available of this powder at this time.

One lot has been getting great velocity, while the other(s) has been much slower.

Seems I got the better batch. Glad I picked up a few pounds of it.

Again great looking build.

Thanks for sharing.

Glenn

Looks sweet!  I used my BCA side charge on my 6.5G build and our rifles are similar in format.  I am happy with the results so far and have no issues as of yet.  I am glad another forum member has decided to try BCA.  If any problems crop up, let us know as they are relatively unknown to us.
