Check out C& S Metal Werks in St. Charles, Ken the owner is a great Guy and a master Gunsmith/Machinist...

He will guide you though the process of getting your C&R and aquiring a can....

He can sell you a Gemtech, YHM or something of the like, (or make one) and he can thread your Barrels for the adapter, if they are not can ready...

I've got a decent .308 that I toyed with the idea of putting a can on... By the time your all said and done, your upwards of 800.00 I think...

Thanks. I submitted my C&R paperwork about a month ago and am waiting it to return.

Welcome back to Missouri! I too think that is just stinks to high heaven that one can not get a silencer for his or her weapon of choice. I am hoping that changes in the next few years. I also carry Glocks in 10mm and they are what makes the boat float.

My choice for a rifle is the FAL-SA-58 in the .308 caliber, this rifle made in the USA, shoots 1/2 groups with 147 hardball ammo by Winchester. It indeed a better weapon than the M-14.

I'm not sure where you got confused or if I did somehow...

You quoted, me saying

" Check out C& S Metal Werks in St. Charles, Ken the owner is a great Guy and a master Gunsmith/Machinist...

Many people on here have registered cans and SBRs... IT IS Possible, even if a bit of a pain.....

If I misunderstood your post, I apologize in advance...

Machine guns, short barrel, and silencers only require a tax stamp in MO as of August 2011. Not sure if everyone else knew that already or not.

You can own/use a silencer in MO.
Go to any gun store ask for the federal registration paper work.
Send it and $200 to the address provided, and they send you back a serial number.
You have to have the serial number stamped on the silencer, then you are good to go.
