Hey guys,

We had previously cluttered the forum up pretty good having pic threads for bolt guns, M1As, shottys, FALs, Mini 14s, etc, etc, etc.

So lets do one big pic thread for them all to keep things simple!

If its a rifle and not an AK or AR, post the pics and tell us its story :thumb:

And seeing as :worthlesswithoutpics[1]:

I'll start!

Savage 10 PC - gotta install the scope rail today. Still shopping for glass.

Weatherby Mark V, Stainless/Synthetic, .340 Weatherby Magnum, Leupold 6.5-20x50mm Long Range Target Scope

Outstanding long range rifle! I am smackin targets out beyond 1,000 yards REALLY HARD! My favorite load is 88 grains of Reloader 22 powder, Federal #215 magnum rifle primers, and 225grain Nosler Accubond bullets, and this gives me 3,015 fps velocity.

This is my baby, my springfield m1a national match, with sadlak scope mount and a Zeiss 3-9x40mm with the rapid-z 600 reticle.

Posted Image

This is a stainless Savage rifle with a heavy fluted barrel in 25-06 that was given to me by my grandmother. I still need to get a better scope for it, but it is fun to shoot ground squirrels and rabbits with.

Posted Image

This is one of my favorite rifles, it is a 1968 ruger #1 tropical in .375 H&H. My grandfather and two of his friends went in on this together when they were new because they could not afford it at the time, and they each used it when they needed it. His friend Gene passed away, and then my grandfather passed away. At his funeral, the 3rd friend, Ray, brought the rifle to me and gave it to me. It has taken many many elk and deer (yes, deer. there are pics of the slaughter in the family albums too). Right now I just have a Leupold VX1 3-9 on it, but I dont use it for hunting too much, I got my 308 bolt gun for that now.

Posted Image

This is my first real rifle, my Winchester Model 70 in .243win with the BOSS. I have a Leupold VX2 3-9x50mm on it now, but it used to have a cheap tasco on it. This is my primary deer rifle.

Posted Image

This is MY savage 10pc, in .308. It has a Leupold Mk.4 4.5-14x50mm scope on it. My primary elk rifle now (and backup deer gun to the .243).

Posted Image

Marlin 1895 in .45-70. I dont use it for much, but it used to be my grandfathers. Kicks like a mule, especially with some of the handloads my grandfather worked up on it. I have the Tasco world class on there now just to see how many rounds it will take to break it, but so far it is the Tasco that can't be killed.

Posted Image

Beretta Cx4 carbine in 9mm, with barrel shroud, EOtech, and Surefire X300 light.

Posted Image

My main 10/22. Started off as a heavy barreled stock rifle, and added the tactical solutions barrel, aftermarket stock, ruger #1 style mag release (by tactical solutions), and the Bushnell elite 3200 10X tactical. I hate the scope for this rifle, the fixed 10x is a pain most of the time so I plan on replacing it.

More to come later.

Here are my CZ 527's in 204. The first one is my original one and the second that I bought as back up for my first one. It is a bit prettier than the first one.

I've got some of my sticks, but I'd like to update them. I'll try to break out the camera tonight and get some new pics of them.

Model 70 in .300 Win-mag. Nothing fancy about the gun. It's got an old 3-9x Leupy on it. Sure is fun to shoot though.

Here is my very first varmint rifle. I bought it in 1975 for $300 form an shop in Oklahoma City. I added a Leupold AO 10 in Redfield mounts. I added turrets to it in 2002 after the reticle failed on a hunt. I shot this rifle so much over the years that I wore the throat out to the point that to reach the lands I had to seat the bullets out so far the magazine could not be used.

I got tired of single shotting the PD's and was out looking for a new 700 Varmint take off barrel. A local shop here in Phoenix had a wooden keg full of barrels and when I was rooting around the owner asked me what I was looking for. I told him a 700 Varmint in 223 and he asked if I would prefer a stainless match barrel he just happened to have. He had bought out a gunsmith's estate lock stock and barrel so had this one in the back. Price? $40.00, Total to re-barrel, glass bed and open the stock was $105.00 Feeling of whacking two PD's at 340 yards back to back on the first outing -- Priceless.

Here is a 243 700 Varmint I got years ago. This one has had the stock replaced with an HS Precision version. I swapped out the trigger and put in a Jewel that will go down to 1/2 ounce. The scope is a Leupold 4.5 X 14.

Favorite bullet is the 6 MM TNT 70 grain Speer. The red mist effect is very strong with that bullet.

Here are my toys.

Marlin 336 .30-.30, M-38 Turk Mauser in 8x57, and a T/C Hawken .50. I also have a M-44 Mosin Nagant Carbine, but I'll save that one for the Combloc forum.

My PTR91 - the 'reach out... & PUT 'the touch' ON someone' rifle! :smartass:

Posted Image

It's about the best of all worlds - it's a high number JLD gun - it has the older, more desirable barrel, yet it's high enough serial number that the bolt problems were worked out by then! I bought it new in the spring of '07, so I just dumb-lucked into those details.

Aftermarket goodies include;

- Harris Bipod
- MFI Low-profile scope mount
- ARMS #12 mount
- Leupold Mk.IV CQ/T scope (for the 'nightshift,' I have a NightOptics DRM-241-MS Gen.II+ NVS atop and ARMS #19 mount to swap this out for)
- Cherokee Products HK-cheekpiece
- good ol' leather G3 sling! :cb:

[A couple of pics to show that occasionally I get a rifle out of the safe and expose it to the elements. These were on a PD shoot last week in N.Arizona. Rifle is my first build with a Tactical 20 top end from Dtech. Scope is a 6X18X50 SF Buck master. It runs a Timney 3 pound trigger. Reformed LC brass with 39 grain Sierra BT's at 3750. I'd post the after shots on the PD's but they are more than a little gruesome.

Sorry no action shots since I was all by myself on this one. Lots of dogs bit the dust that day!!

A couple of pics of a new bolt gun I'm working on.

Late 90's Remington 700P, Blackhawk/Knoxx Axiom stock, Warn 20moa base with Maxima steel rings, and one of the new Bushnell *gasp* FFP 3-12 scope and some Israeli bipod (for the time being).

Hoping to get some quality time this week if the schedule allows.

.308
Old Leupold 4.5-14x40 LR/T AO
22" barrel
Factory test target showed a slightly less than .5" 3 shot group at 100

Hoping to get it out to the range on Sunday and see what she'll do.

It needs a new scope eventually and the .338 conversion. I'll have to save my pennies for a while.

grand plans man! .338 is a beast of a round! my cousin has a stick in .338 that I have not been able to shoot yet.

This reminds me I still need to get a scope and rings and get my .308 out...
