This young Highland Scotch was made using malted barley dried over a peat fire, representing the historical style that all Scotch whisky used to be made in. Today, this peated style is mostly associated with the Islay region where the whiskies tend to be made in a more intensely smoky than this one, whereas most Highland malts are no longer made in the peated style at all anymore. Non-Chill filtered, Natural Color. Bottled from a single cask at 50% ABV.
