Ayunta – Nerello Mascalese Bianco

Nerello Mascalese Bianco by is a natural wine made in Sicily with grapes.

This is a really interesting wine from Etna, because Nerello Mascalese is a big powerful red grape… but here it’s been used as a direct press to make a white, so essentially a Blanc de Noir.

Its got a beautiful minerality shining through it, alongside touches of honeymelon and stone fruit.

Very experienced natural wine drinkers may experience a small note of sulphur on the finish, but it does not distract from the uniqueness of this special wine.
