The Balvenie French Oak is a vibrant finished in casks. These casks previously held wine from the French Charentes vineyards.

Pineau des Charentes is a fortified wine from unfermented grape juice. Then there is the addition of Cognac eau-de-vie before maturing. You can also find Pineau as a home-made product in the neighbouring Deux-Sevres and Vendee departments.
