Barrell Whiskey Batch 003

Take 5 year old cask strength Kentucky whiskey that has been aged in American white oak barrels, and put some of it in Sherry butts and the rest in Port pipes. Then blend 20% of the former with 80% of the latter. Taste it. The result will be a juicy caramelized swirl across the tongue. This is Barrell Whiskey Batch 3. Each sip is luxurious and reminiscent of fine sherry. Dollops of bittersweet chocolate dipped walnuts, wet saddle leather, and a crisp dryness contribute to sips of uncommon depth and balance.
