Borgo Maragliano Alta Langa Brut Rosè Giovanni Galliano 2021

Giovanni Galliano. After many travels, which allowed him to broaden his horizons, Giovanni decided to create what is Borgo Maragliano. Today the company, with its 41 hectares of vineyards, combines eco-friendly viticulture with careful valorization of the terroir, and the result is quality wines that reflect the peculiarities of the grapes. The vineyards, all of which are 100 years old, are between 35 and 65, are in perfect cohesion with the soil and enjoy the utmost care and attention from the winemaker who has the role of preserving the health of the plant.

The Giovanni Galliano Brut is an elegant and refined rosé sparkling wine, produced from 100% Pinot Nero from the Crevoglio vineyards, with a soil mainly composed of tuff and sandstone with a small percentage of calcium. After the harvest, the grapes are taken to the cellar where they macerate for approximately 5/8 hours at low temperatures, followed by gentle pressing. The resulting pinkish must is racked for the first fermentation on the lees, followed by a further period in stainless steel tanks where it matures for approximately 8 months. In the April following the harvest, the wine, having reached maturity, is ready for bottling, followed by the immediate addition of yeasts and sugar dosage and secondary fermentation in the bottle for 36 months. Once the process is complete, it undergoes clarification and disgorging, making it ready for sale.
