Still red Chianti Classico DOCG, 14% ABV, produced by Castello di Ama. Blend of 95% Sangiovese and 5% Merlot. 0.75-liter bottle, 2021 vintage. A Chianti Classico Riserva that embodies the elegance and tradition of Tuscany, born in the heart of Chianti Classico. Founded in 1976, the winery has successfully enhanced the territory with targeted investments and a state-of-the-art winery. The must was vinified in stainless steel tanks with the addition of indigenous yeasts. Careful control of the fermentation temperature, which never rose above 28-30°C, along with frequent manual pumping over, gave this wine a beautiful ruby color and the distinct varietal aromas of the territory. Maceration on the skins lasted approximately 24 days, after which the indigenous bacteria developed the transformation of malic acid. Aged in second-use French oak barriques for approximately 12 months. Fruity aromas of berries, blackberry, raspberry, and currant. Deep ruby red color with purple highlights. Harmonious, with a full and mellow attack, followed by a noble polyphenolic profile that lingers on the palate and expresses all the elegance of our winery’s wines.
