Christopher Barth – Melaphyr 2020

Melaphyr 2020 is a natural wine crafted by , in the Rheinhessen region in . This white wine is made with grapes.

The wine takes its name from the red volcanic rock Melaphyr, on which the Riesling grapes for this wine are grown. After hand-picking, the grapes are pressed by foot and left to macerate for 24 hours, then fermented and aged in wooden barrels. 

We hear Melaphyr tastes of apples, yellow peach and passionfruit, with a light smoky note, bright acidity and good structure.
