Didier Grappe “Chardonnay Longefin” is a white wine from the small village of Saint-Lothain in the Jura, which does not have a Jura appelation.
About Longefin Chardonnay
THIS WINE IS VERY REDUCTIVE. We recommend to carafe this one quite hard before drinking and swirl around, as the reduction is more in a crazy way rather than flinty or match-struck way.
This wine needs lots of time to aerate and a hard caraffe (pouring very quickly rather than gently) and perhaps a shake is recommended.
Once it blows off (which can take time, hence the price reduction) this is a fresh, lean yet slightly buttery, floral chardonnay which is direct in its acidity and remains easy drinking.
