Fratelli Alessandria Barbera d’Alba Superiore Priora 2021

Still red from Piedmont, 14.5% ABV, 100% Barbera. Produced by Fratelli Alessandria, a historic winery in Verduno, founded in 1870. Vintage 2021. A Barbera d’Alba Superiore Priora that expresses the excellence of the terroir through careful grape selection and an aging process that enhances its complexity. Fermentation and Maceration: in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 29–31°C for 10–12 days. Aged for 12–14 months in small French oak barrels and/or French or Slavonian oak barrels, 2 months in steel, and at least 2 months in bottle. Nose: notes of fruit and fine spices, musk, and humus with hints of tobacco. Ruby red color. Nice freshness on the palate, with a lingering spicy finish.
