Hughes & Hughes Chardonnay Lees Aged 2019

Lees Aged Chardonnay still white wine from Tasmania, Australia, with an alcohol content of 13.9% ABV, produced by Mewstone Wines. 100% Chardonnay. 0.75 L bottle, 2019 vintage. A wine born from the passion of brothers Matthew and Jonathan Hughes, who founded Mewstone Vineyard on the banks of the D’Entrecasteaux Canal in the small village of Flowerpot. Fermentation and maturation take place in barrels (20% new). Malolactic fermentation is carried out at 50%. The wine ages on the lees for 10 months. On the nose, aromas of apple, pear, and melon are perceived. Straw yellow. On the palate, the wine is fresh, well-balanced, and long-lasting.
