Isaac Bowman Port Barrel Finished Bourbon

Following the success of A. Bowman Distillery’s limited-edition port finished bourbon in 2016, which won World’s Best Bourbon, the distillery decided to produce a port finished bottling that could become a part of their standard range. This uses barrels from Portugal as well as ex-port style barrels from wineries in Virginia to finish the spirt for a period of 3-6 months. The resulting Bourbon has a subtle depth of flavor and notes of raisin on the palate, bolstered by cherry and spice with a pleasant burn on the finish.
