Kings County 7-Year Straight Bourbon

Barrel #1522 is the third in a series of superlative 7-year bourbon single barrels from Kings County Distillery. After an initial year of aging in a shipping container in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, this barrel was then transferred to our Bushwick warehouse for an additional 6 years. The first summer of extreme high temperatures likely contributed to the higher-than-usual angel’s share of 39.7%, while continued aging in a more even environment resulted in an exceptionally balanced profile. 

This whiskey embodies the heart of Kings County Distillery: fusing the best of world distilling cultures into creative and distinctive American whiskeys. A classic nose of fresh oak, toasted coconut, butterscotch, and cookie dough transitions to a palate of salted caramel, sherried fruit, and honey with a lengthy finish of baked bread, cardamom, dry oak, and balanced tannins. Barrel #1522 is bottled at 96 proof, and only 195 bottles were produced.
