Meinklang – Abend Edition 3

Abend by Meinklang, based in Burgenland Austria, is made with Blaufränkisch and a rare grape called Gamerat , and is one of their more serious wines. Peppery and rich, yet light and fruity.  Aged in a concrete egg, and previously made with different grapes.

This Abend wine with no added sulphites is a delight, with notes of blackberries, hints of vanilla, juniper and a whisper of smoke. Nice delicate tannins, ideal for food, hence the name Abend, whilst the wine Nacht is easier to drink and wind down after dinner.
