The Salcheto Chianti is a vibrant expression of Tuscany’s esteemed Chianti region. Crafted from a blend of 85% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo, 5% Mammolo, and 5% Merlot, this wine embodies the rich heritage and terroir of its origin. The vineyards, including “Poggio Piglia” in Chiusi, “Greppo” in Abbadia di Montepulciano, and “Casa Lucii” in San Gimignano, are cultivated with a commitment to sustainability and organic practices. Following fermentation, 30% of the wine matures in 300-liter American oak tonneaux for four months, with an additional three months of bottle refinement, resulting in a harmonious and approachable profile.
