The nose is savory, with aromas of soil, crushed rock and lots of mixed wild herbs, then raspberry jam. That berry sweetness blooms on the palate, and holds its ground against the persistent flintiness of more soil and rocks. Tannins are tightly wound yet polished, like a starlet’s hair.
