Pinot Noir Hochegg 2021 is a natural wine crafted by , in the Styria region in . This red wine is made with grapes.
Karl Schnabel and his wife Eva were so inspired by their time in Burgundy in the 90s (and their love for Pinot Noir) that they decided to focus mainly on red grape varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and Pinot Noir – even though the Styrian winemaking region in Austria is widely known for its mineral whites.
We hear this wine is juicy with a bright acidity and underlying salty minerality, with notes of blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and currants, as well as forest floor and a touch of spice.
