Silvio Nardi Brunello di Montalcino Poggio Doria 2015

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, still red, 14% ABV, produced by Tenute Silvio Nardi. 100% Sangiovese, 2015 vintage, 0.75 l bottle. A Brunello that embodies the history of Montalcino, with an elegance and complexity that reveal themselves with every sip. The grapes come from Casale del Bosco, with a South/West/North-West exposure at approximately 260 m above sea level. Fermentation and maceration for 26 days at a controlled temperature of <30°C. Aged for 18 months in first- and second-use French oak (Allier) tonneaux, followed by 12 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. The nose opens broadly, with mineral notes of graphite, fruity notes of red berries, and spicy notes, with clove and vanilla predominating. Ruby red color with garnet highlights. The flavors are enhanced by length and balance, with soft and persistent notes leading to a refined finish characterized by dense and velvety tannins.
