Mash Bill – 51% Rye 49% Malted Barely

In 2013 MGPI did an experimental run of the mash bill – 51% Rye and 49% Malted Barley. There were 22 barrels total, consisting of 4 different char levels.

Char Code “E” is a total of 5 barrels, it has toasted staves which are then charred to a level #3. All of the experimental ryes have number 2 char on the heads. These barrels were batched for a total yield of 840 bottles at 117.44 proof, which is cask strength.
