“Grand Ordinaire” is an easy going, glou glou natural wine crafted by , in the Baden region in . This red wine is made with grapes, and replaces what was called the Baden Nouveau.
The Grand Ordinaire is the successor to the previous Baden Nouveau. While the Nouveau should always be fruity and on the fun side, after the 2020 harvest, Alexander and Christoph decided they wanted to give the wine a little more time. The process before that remains the same: cool temperatures, about two weeks of maceration including carbonic macération.
Due to the longer maturation before bottling, the fruit remains, but is a touch more “serious” than before. Reason enough to give the it a new name Wasenhaus decided: Grand Ordinaire is the new entry-level Pinot from Wasenhaus – and anything but ordinary!
