Champagne Reserve Grand Cru Brut is a product that comes from the slopes of the Reims mountain, in the Marne region of France, produced by the André Clouet cellars. The wooded terrain that characterizes the area is reflected fully and clearly, coming from the precious thousand-year-old vineyards belonging to the village of Bouzy. The mountain slopes make the riddling, still done by hand today, difficult and complex, giving this wine all the quality for which it is known. The unique microclimate, within which it is born and comes to life, gives this version of 100% Pinot Noir champagne a particular terroir that is reflected in all its production phases. The combination of geomorphology, soil, and temperature gives the local blend a distinctive and easily identifiable finish, within which everything harks back to the historic tradition, including disgorgement, carried out according to the most ancient local customs. Since these grapes are extremely precious and limited in quantity, over time efforts have been made to protect them from atmospheric or other deterioration. Very often, even the owners of local farms participate in the manual harvesting and selection of individual bunches. Furthermore, production is usually reserved for long-standing clients of ancient and noble French families, making the history of Champagne Reserve Grand Cru Brut one of the most resounding names of the entire winemaking generation.
