The Colli di Luni Vermentino Etichetta Nera is produced by the Cantina Lunae Bosoni, located in the province of La Spezia, in the Colli di Luni, hence the name of the winery “Lvnae” to recall the ancient Roman tradition from which it inherited the knowledge and passion for winemaking. Located in the easternmost strip of land of eastern Liguria, the winery has several geologically varied soils, from the sandy/alluvial soil of the valley to the lean/dry soil of the hills, which allows the production of wines with different profiles. The philosophy of the Bosoni family is to choose and preserve quality over quantity with attentive and constant work with the persistent goal of respect for nature and the vine, combined with the human factor and the family concept that best reflects the ancient winemaking tradition of the Ligurian terraces.
The Lunae Bosoni Colli di Luni Vermentino Etichetta Nera is produced with only pure Vermentino grapes, coming from the most suitable soils, meticulously harvested by hand in small crates, after careful study of the bunches and tasting of the grapes, around mid September. It is left to macerate on the skins for 48 hours and fermented and vinified in stainless steel tanks with automatic temperature control until March/April. This wine, with excellent structure although not particularly long-lived, was designed to accompany the most demanding dishes of Ligurian cuisine thanks to its persistent and harmonious aroma and all the scents of the Mediterranean.
